Our Adult Forum provides weekly opportunity to discuss issues of theology, Bible and current affairs and meets on Sunday mornings (except during the summer) from 9:15 to 10:15. Coffee and donuts are served.
Forum topics are varied and range in from one-time sessions to a four-week-long series. The forum is conducted in an atmosphere of acceptance where differing views are welcomed and respected. Materials are presented by lecture, videotape, Power Point, CDs and through guest speakers who are knowledgeable in their fields.
Some topics covered in recent months:
- Why the Bible cannot be interpreted literally
- The historical Jesus…..fact and fiction
- Evolution—Science and Religion—Do they have to disagree?
- Omaha Public School debate with speakers from the state legislature and the community
Decoding The Da Vinci Code
- The new faces of Christianity. With the shift of growth and power from Western countries to Asia and Africa, what will that mean for “Western Christianity”?
