Education and progressive Christian thinking are important to the ministry of our congregation. Thought-provoking questions and inquiry prepare us to serve others and grow in our own faith. Augustana offers the following Educational opportunities: - Sunday School for youth and adults meets at 9:15 weekly during the school year.
- Adult Forum meets weekly at 9:15 Sunday mornings during the school year. Topics relate our Christian faith to issues of the day. We often have speakers and presenters from the community. Adult Forum is a popular and lively Augustana tradition which explores issues of faith and life. Fresh coffee and doughnuts served!
- Confirmation Education is a vital ministry for our 7th and 8th graders. The curriculum prepares the young people for affirmation of their faith and aids them in their maturing faith. Classes meet in the fall and spring months.
- Weekly Bible Study meets on Tuesday evenings for an hour beginning at 7:00. The format is informal.
- Twice a year a series, "What Lutherans Believe," is offered for persons wishing to learn more about our teaching in preparation for church membership, or of others wanting a refresher course. Those dates and times will be announced here each session.
- First Communion classes for our children are offered periodically—usually in the spring and fall.
